Just in case you ever have a carpet mishap as  I do on a near-daily basis here; 

skip all of the above and go straight for the  window cleaner.

Yep, good old Windex.  I was on my way to get some Borax for a recipe

I had received, but a friend of mine who cleans homes told me to grab my

window cleaner. She promised it would work and would not bleach

the carpet.  It worked amazingly well!! 

{I actually used the blue type and a little of that below.} 

Unbelievable!  

And, I will admit I really don't understand it.  I had already used a combo of water

and vinegar with little to no results.  But, by wicking the areas with a towel and window

cleaner..........it worked!!!
