{wow.}

I think the fatigue of the past few months has settled.

I recovered from my bout of the tummy bug last week.
Took Scott to the MD this morning with the upper respiratory
stuff that is taking so many down; praying the remainder of us escape.

But, my fatigue level is beyond belief.  So much to do and absolutely
no energy to do it.  I just may settle in for the night and try again
tomorrow.  I have miles of to-do's {some are actually fun} but,
I suppose they will continue to wait.  Now, I will go put
away the groceries that have been setting on the counter for oh, 2 hours.

{it ended with a bang}

Today should be the last day of  "the project" all of you are very likely
tired of hearing about.  Well, despite working into
the late hours Monday and Tuesday.....today being the finale...I am home sick.

Lovely.

No celebratory moments for me to share with the rest of the staff.

At least.......it's over.

Can I get an AMEN?!?

{delay}

in posting about my Mother's Day.

All was really quite here as I had a sick little guy who
is home with me today as well.

Hmmmm.....I have a feeling that the screaming list that I actually
am avoiding peeking at now...will be waiting and delayed as well.
I'm in the thros of a real, live mommy's day!!  :)

{fever}

that would be Evan.  Not Noah? Maybe Noah was just cold & tired and not headed that direction last night.  But, so far, that's it....a low grade temp only.  So many sick right now!  :(

Saying prayers for the Hobbs' and little Madi!

{life is funny}

or maybe not?

last night i went to bed a little worried that e was getting sick - although i had pretty much decided too much food and too much heat had caused the first bout.

he woke up fine.

i did not. :(

but, in the goodness of it all.....it will be a quiet, pj-clad day on the farm....

{about to cry!}

I am absolutely devastated as I am terrified Scott has the flu. Against all odds, I am praying so hard for something else, something very short-lived. It broke my heart to have to make a call to postpone a newborn session I had for tomorrow. I really do want to cry about that alone as it has been the highlight of my week and was soooo looking forward to it.

It should not be surprising me though.

Today, I got a funny message from a friend/client. I guess she was a client, but is now a friend? Anyway, met her through the photography. But, she was concerned because she had called me last week and I had referred the call to Angela - well, something happened and she never heard from either of us. She tends to get VERY paranoid. So, today, in her VERY bubbly voice, she wanted to know what she had done to make me mad, she was "fretting" she said, and she was actually hoping she had made me mad because she was not even going to think something "bad" had happened. Because you know me, I never have those dark clouds looming! ;)

I immediately phoned her back and filled her in on the events of the last two weeks with Noah. Near the end of the conversation she sweetly said, "shannon, I just don't understand all this stuff. I mean, we had the flu- but it was over in like three days. You know, you remind me of that guy in the Bible, you know the one that all those bad things kept happening to.........gee, what was his name? John the Baptist?"

My reply, well, yes a very bad thing did happen to him, he had his head cut off and served on platter, but, I don't think he's the one your talking about.

She goes on......."oh, yeah it's not him, it's that other guy....what is his name? Peter???!! That's it, Peter!"

My reply, "well, I don't think he's the one either, but, he was crucified with his head down.

She was so exsaperated at this point, I'm not sure she even heard me say Job.

I will THANKFULLY never compare myself to any of them. Rough days, yes. Being a marytr, being murdered and having to suffer beyond words. No comparison, thank God.

At the time it was pretty funny. That was until I knew I had to make the call to the sweet mama I had so looked forward to seeing tomorrow. And, now I'm just sitting here in a stupor trying to even grasp that we may possibly not be past the flu at this point.

{bugs}

i've got a sick little {handsome} guy :(

my mom is having back pain/kidney stone trouble again. hoping for a speedy recovery. i am certain evan is wishing that as well as nannie pat is a great playmate! he does not like these times without her....

billing and a report is due. today. actually last friday.

a session for tonight that will have to be rescheduled. and, it's not even raining.

ang can't come over due to the initial statement. do not want to pass on our sickness to little olivia and wipe out another family.

work-in at md's office. taking lots of hand sanitizer. and a very, very long wait.

but, in worrying about all of the above. that handsome little guy described, will need lots and lots of snuggling. there is always a positive.

{grrrrrrrr}

surely to goodness i am not in the first stages of pink eye. in both eyes. SCREAMMMMM!!!! forget the fact they are lovely to look at right now (not), feel itchy and painful (with other lovely symptoms i will spare you from), and that I am swollen under my right eye down past the tip of my cheek bone. let's not go back to my first bout with it ever this past summer that lasted almost 3 weeks because my tissue got infected. let's forget about the fact that i was in contact with a little one this past week who did not know he had it until after our time together.

i am already medicating. this will be okay!

{PLEASE}

say some prayers for scott. it seems that his better days are getting fewer and fewer. yesterday, they placed him on a new medication with a warning of the side effects. he can barely even walk a straight line right now, his speech is slurred, his vision is messed up and his head STILL hurts. i pulled him out of the house this morning because he is literally knocked out on the new medication and will likely be for a few more weeks. then, the side effects are suppose to level out again. so between now and christmas, between he and the boys - we have eight MD appointments WITHOUT anyone actually being ill.

i'm just sad for him. i am worried that thanksgiving somewhat spurred all of this on. if his head is not killing him, he is asleep and then if it is, he tries to sleep. i just desperately want him to enjoy christmas. the boys and I miss him!

rewind button anyone?

{my new BFF}

along the lines of Mischelle's post a month or so ago. Mine is not spot remover, but, germ killer.....aka....Lysol. Can you imagine that one of could possibly be sick again?? Surely not! Well, poor little E now has the lovely tummy bug. I hear that two varieties seem to be swarming, I am just hoping that we have the lesser of the two evils.

{my little man is sick}

He was fine yesterday, so he went to school. An advanced apology in case he has spread his wealth. But, when he woke up this morning - there was no dispute. He sounds very croupy and has a "very, very,very" sore throat - in his words. He's just sad. So, I am trying to breathe and not panic at my mound of things to do and just focus on him today as much as I possibly can. I have a scary feeling, this is just the beginning of a downward spiral.
