Savannah had to stay home alone last week when Molly

went for grooming.  It was a very lonely day for her. :(

She's got it sooo rough.

I feel so terrible for her, ha!

probably because he slowed down long enough

for her to catch him {wink} 

and, then there's molly,

I am not certain if she is desperately missing her boys or recooping from a summer with her boys.

We are back on with the puppy. 

The breeder made some exceptions for us.

The babies are due any day.

There is a new set of tri's - just like Molly and we

got to watch them via puppy cam tonight. 

So, if we don't get a girl blenheim, we'll just go

with another tricolor.

And, yes, it's official.

I've lost my ever-loving mind! 

{doggie update}

I pulled my name from the waiting list on the puppy. :(

I talked to the breeder yesterday and her dogs are VERY

high quality, show dogs.  And, although they are beautiful, so

is Molly. :)  Even her "pet puppies" that don't show or will

never be bred are simply too much for me to be able to

sleep over at night. So, I will be on the look out for one that

will fit into our family without breaking the bank for sure.

Molly was out there, so I am sure another will be at some point.

okay.  i really don't want you to answer that.

but, i've been entertaining the thought that maybe......

just maybe....

molly needs a playmate.

crazy thing is.....yesterday, we finally found a sweet kitten for evan.

he is bouncing off the walls as she won't be ready to be

picked up for a week or two.

but, i also can't get little bella above off my mind.

you know, it's not like i don't have enough to do?

the chickens alone are keeping me very occupied in this heat.

they know me very well at atwoods.

who knew i would have to make a mad dash for electrolytes.

again.

but, in my everyday chaos of just "everything"

as i type this, just always seems to calm me down. 

much less expensive than therapy!!

Evan is loving on Molly on the couch in front of me.  

Minutes ago, I heard this.......

"Oh, I love you Molly girl. I'm

going to miss you so much when

I go to college."

Immediately.......

"Mommy, will Molly be "a-l-i-v-e" when I go

to college? 

Me:  Evan I hope so, but, I have

know way to know that. We will just take

really good care of her until then."

Evan:  "Well, is she eating her grains like she should?"

Evan:  "You know dog food, dog food, dog food and a treat?"

If only it were that simple. :)



I saw the above picture on another blog - the picture is from Style @ Home.   That is the color dog I had looked and looked for before Molly - a buff.   So sweet, but, now I can't imagine that I actually searched based on a color of a dog.  I can't imagine missing out on sweet Molly.   Besides, it wouldn't have mattered, the minute the breeder opened the door with Molly in his arms, I was smitten.  

BTW, I am totally rambling I know.  Too tired to do anything.  But, Noah is wide awake since he slept all evening.  Today has been his worst day yet.

Okay, having a sick puppy {although she's fully grown} can be a lot like having a sick baby.  Anxiety, long nights, lots of clean-up, and most of all lots of loving.  This was Molly after her bath tonight.  She honestly didn't feel like it until later this evening.  She tolerated it.   

   

 'Pleaaaaaassssssseeee, leave me alone.'

 'I'll just pretend you're not there.  Really."

 Seriously, is she not the cutest thing ever?  I never thought I would be administering Benadryl and Pepto throughout the night and morning.

 I kid you  not, she is actually camera shy.  Very strange.  With or without the flash, she wants to disappear when it gets pulled out.   And, it doesn't matter if it's the monster camera or my phone or throw in the purse variety.  She detests them.  Where could she get that? 

I'm off to love on this sweet girl!  So happy she's feeling better!

I am missing church tonight due to a sick wee one.

My canine child.

I have determined I can not give her cute little, sweet treats. {dog variety, not human. she can only seem to handle one brand}

They do not agree.

She will have to stick to her mundane ones.

And, when I say she is sick. She.is.reallllllly.sick.

It may be a long night. Just hope we don't have to end up calling Dr. Nick for an emergency run. :(

Just in case you ever wondered about the etymology of the phrase "sick as a dog" - I lived it today. After a fresh bath and while riding to pick up Noah from school - Molly got car sick. I'll leave it at that.

did i just hear molly bark? maybe? maybe not?

seriously, have you even known a dog that doesn't bark? she just tried, but, it sounded more like a frog caught in her throat.

If it's not my child.

Maybe it's all the smoking on her chew toys.

but, laughing. that's very, very good. every time molly gets her chew treat - she smokes and smokes and smokes it.

e is better - the vomiting has stopped. his remaining complaints are of his throat hurting and just feeling cruddy. but, i think he has rounded the corner.

last night i caught evan and molly doing the "cha-cha" in the kitchen. i hope she survives living with one of her boys. :) but, they both seemed to be smiling...
