{snow excursion #1}

for the day.

The boys just got out of a hot tub of water after coming back
in for some snow play.

E:  "Mom, can we stay in our pj's all day??"
Me:  "yes, Evan."
E:  "Yay!  This is great!  It feels just like December!
You know, the snow, the hot chocolate {we haven't had
any quite yet} and pj's all day long. We finally got
to have December!"

Love, love, love the little things. :)

Because in two days it will be summer as we
will hit thunderstorms and 60 degree weather.

{ha!}

E asked me for a cucumber. The child could eat his weight in them.

So, while I was peeling it he was looking for the salt.

Finally he asked if he could have "some of that summer salt to try on it."

AKA: seasoning salt

Well, summer is a season!!!

{my sweet, sweet heart}

Just a bit ago I heard, "Mommmmmmmieeeee, there is a BUG!"

I went into the kitchen and simply told E to stomp it as I didn't have my shoes on. He looked at me with those big eyes and sad lip. Okay, it took me a millisecond to remember who I just told to squash a bug.

"But, Mommy, can't you just get a paper towel and scoop it up and let it go outside?"

That's exactly what I did praying the entire time that whatever critter a thin paper towel provided no barrier that it would not sting me. The bug is released back into the "wild" of our backyard.

I love his tender heart. Although Uncle Mr. Shawn Sir is sad over the loss of another prospective hunter.

{taste testing}

evan requested a snack. when i offered animal crackers, he quickly informed me, "no, i don't like those, they don't taste like nothing."

so, he continues to get his words a little mixed-up (which i love), but obviously, he likes some zing to his snacks. he opted for sour cream and onion pringles. i ate the animal crackers.
