That would be my mom. And, not because she didn't name me Grace.
But, she didn't put me in ballet during my toddling years.
I am convinced it would have made quite the difference.
And, because she failed to do that, I have had a series of events that have not actually been by no fault of my own.
Sounds good anyway?
Just to name a few...
*the situation with the gym mat in which I firmly planted my face. In front of everyone. That is enough to cause a 9th grader to literally quit school.
*penny-loafers under the school bus fiasco.
*tumble down the hill saving that firefighters life....ER visit.
*fall down my grandfather's stairs at 7.5 months gestation. Overnight hospital stay.
*slip in my MIL's kitchen in which the hot rollers took be down via way of gravity.
*well, and tangle with the gate/fence that didn't end well for me yesterday afternoon.
I could have gone on.
Trust me.
Enroll your girls (or guys in our E's case as it is quite clear he has those genes) in ballet TODAY. Do not wait!

{praying for the glidewell family}
Scott has been in tears all morning. John, a sweet & dear friend, passed away in his sleep on Monday night/morning. He was only 40 and the initial thoughts are a heart attack. He was in great shape and so athletic, just one of those things your brain can't wrap around. The magnitude of this loss for so many cannot even be put into words. Praying for this sweet family!
{sickness, day 3}
Every time I think he's rounding the corner, it hits again. He is pretty miserable. :(

{it's in the mail}
{back to the basics}

I've mentioned this "pull" to be very domestic lately. I don't understand it. And, honestly, haven't had time for it. But, my computer being down two days last week and then what hours I had with it were spent backing up and transferring data as it was completely and utterly overloaded...I did accomplish this.
Let's see, this is what prompted me....
Ingredients: enriched bleached flour [wheat flour, malted barley flour, niacin, iron, thiamin, mononitrate (vitamine B1), Riboflavin (vitamin B2), folic acid], water, high fructose corn syrup, calcium sulfate. Yeast, vegetable oil (soybean and/or cottonseed oils, salt, wheat gluten, dough conditioners (may contain one or more of the following: mono- and diglycerides, ethoxylated mono- and diglycerides, sodium stearoyl, lactylate, calcium peroxide, datem, calcium iodate, acrorbic acid, azodicarbonamide, enzymes0, yeast nutrients (monocalcium phosphate, calcium sufate, ammonium sulfate0, viatimin D3, calcium propionate (preservative), soy lechithin, milk, soy flour.
{or}
Ingredients: water, flour, salt, sugar, yeast.
Considering I simply dusted off my handy-dandy bread machine, loaded the ingredients and popped the small loaf out in about an hour and five minutes from start to finish. I'm thinking....I should probably be doing that a lot more often.
{day two}
It is sick day #2 around here for E. :( Honestly, this is the strangest stomach bug ever. It hit him in the wee hours of Monday morning and then pretty much disappeared; although the horrible fatigue lingered all day. This morning, he woke up normally with no problems through the night so he showered and got ready for school. At breakfast, it hit again. And, again. And, again.
So yesterday was the day I had asked for prayer for Scott's stent removal. Well, not shockingly, that is today it wasn't yesterday. So, I had no other option but to wrap Evan in the biggest quilt I could find, red bowl [with the black X on the bottom] in hand and attempt to get Daddy to the MD's office. Nope. The curves proved to be too much for E. Call to MIL who met me in a grocery store parking lot and took Scott on. I feel TERRIBLE that I am not there with him. Thankfully, Evan fell asleep for our ride home. He is one grumpy {hungry} little bear.
Ready to round the corner.
